Ricki

I have been using cannabis since my late teens as it helped with social anxiety. But today, and for quite some time, in my adult years I have used it more intentionally. When I first tried and continued pursuing cannabis it was for social purposes. It was a substitute while others drank because most alcohol didn’t agree with me.

Early days was for fun and social connections with friends, and it still is! I may choose different ways to use it now; such as choosing a CBD capsule for physical discomforts after an intense workout or a long shoot day, or smoking at the end of my day to unwind and relax after the kids are in bed.

My business, Scout + Briar, helps with style, aesthetic and overall fine-tuned details for photoshoots and sometimes cannabis helps with creativity to curate mood boards and planning for a photo shoot while helping clients bring their vision to reality on a project.

I’d like to help by sharing with people who are curious or in the unknown about cannabis and do it from a female perspective that can highlight it artistically, creatively and within a context that shows a positive cultural movement.

There are times when overall stress becomes a lot and it can be put to rest by using cannabis.  It doesn’t hide all my life’s problems! But cannabis contributes to my happiness and reduces those stresses when I choose to use it.

Today, cannabis means a lot more to me than it did from the beginning years of partaking. I am excited to share my experiences with it and be transparent to showing my support. I’d like to help by sharing with people who are curious or in the unknown about cannabis and do it from a female perspective that can highlight it artistically, creatively and within a context that shows a positive cultural movement.  It can be just as pleasurable as drinking wine with friends.

It is time, more than ever before, to have healthy conversations about the ways we improve our overall well being and happiness.
